It was 27th minute of time added to the World Cup final, all fans and most of the players got ready for penalties but not Fernando Torres. Spanish striker, who spent most of the game warming up and giving dramatic signs to his coach to sent him in, finally got his chance in extra time. Torres got a ball run like for life and than pass it to Inesta and small Barcelona midfielder with cold blood placed it into Netherlands net.

3 minutes later Gerrard Pique, huge Spainish defender hold his head in hands like a small boy and cold blooded Iker Casillas, saint Iker started to cry

Spain became World Cup champions for first time in history. They made a history.

But the win didn’t come easy. Both teams started with their favorite 4-2-3-1 system which dominated this world cup and with all first time players. Dutch condense centre of the field so much that even cold Johannesburg wind couldn’t get there.

Spaniards decided to attack using their wings. Very soon could be successful: Ramos and Villa were very close to score. Netherlands answered with the strike of Sneijder.

Nothing much happen in this half apart of festival of yellow cards.

In the second half teams had to make more space and be careful for fouls. It opened space especially for Robben. Bold Dutchman was faster than any South African ostrich and several times exposed slowness of Puyol and Capdevilla.

In 62 minute Robben again lost defenders and stand eye to eye with Casillas. He had so much time that all Spanish fans could say pray to their favorite saint. And their prayes were heard Saint Iker somehow saved Robben shot.

A few minutes later Saint Iker again saved Spain in similar situation. The difference was that frustrated Puyol fouled Robben and deserved red card. Surpisingly Robben, who usually dives more than most of ducks, stand on his feet and lost ball to Casillas.

In return Stekelenburg saved good shot of Fabregas and Villa hit defender when goal was without goalkeeper.

Everything changed when Heitinga got a second yellow card for foul in second part of half time. It looked like Spaniards woke up and beloved that they could win. Then Torres got a ball and you know the rest.

Dutch players were sitting in the middle of the field for long time after the game. They were actually much closer to win yesterday. But the world will remember Spain, the team with fantastic technique skills, perfectly balanced. Zinedine Zidane said after Spain won Euro 2008 that once Spaniards start to win they would never stop. So far it proved right.
