It was 27th minute of time added to the World Cup final, all fans and most of the players got ready for penalties but not Fernando Torres. Spanish striker, who spent most of the game warming up and giving dramatic signs to his coach to sent him in, finally got [...]

This is the last game and actually the most interesting one.
Netherlands came through the tournament winning all games. Playing solid football at the back and creative up front. After Robben came back Oranje got back this spark which helps win tie games. The back four (five with keeper) may not be a world class but [...]

Sarah Brandner, girlfriend of Bastian Schweinsteiger already got her medal.
Diego Forlan our type for the WC best player award.
Very entertaining game. Germans started with Muller, who was suspended in lost game to Spain, and looked so much better even if played without other key players. Coach Loew decided to give chance all players.

Carles Puyol send Germany on their knees.
“The Spain is almost unbeatable” said German coach after the game. And that’s truth. Spain started the World Cup from defeat against Switzerland but since then played without mistakes. Yesterday they played very good game and Germans were very lucky to lose only 0-1.

I got fantastic seat 2nd row behind the corner flag. I haven’t see 90% of the game, especially controversial situations which were not [...]

Both teams are playing very consequent football and on the pitch follow coach’s master plan so the game could be more close to Spasski vs. Fischer than The Rumble in the Jungle. But after the first goal, no matter who will score, the show should be very entertaining.
On the paper Netherlands is much better team [...]

After Bafana Bafana were kicked out of the World Cup, South Africans were very disappointed. Most of them were still interested in the tournament, but adopted other teams to support. Most of them went for Brazil because of the country’s legendary status; many supported Argentina for the same reason and because they [...]

There is a reason why there is no good movie about football. How could a human being possibly pack so many emotions into 90 minutes?
I was going to see the Ghana – Uruguay game in a local seafood restaurant in Johannesburg. Before I ordered, several waitresses told me how important this game is for Africa. [...]

He decided to fulfill his childhood dream of running with the football journalists at the 2010 World Cup. Much to the dismay of his wife, and as part of a premature midlife crisis, Alek plans to shave his hair, grow a beard and spend a month in South Africa watching games, drinking beer with local fans, generally hanging around and of course sharing the resulting insights into life, death and, much more importantly, football!
